Mark’s Story

Mark matches creativity and fun as an element into music education while expanding on principles of music theory,

guitar styles, and sounds from Improvisation to Rock.

Mark currently owns and teaches guitar lessons at Silversound Guitar. He is the guitarist and vocalist in Colorado based band Delvr, and does freelance music production, sound design, and songwriting ranging from films to video games.

Mark is a graduated music major from the University of Colorado. He has played and studied under Alan Joseph, Janet Feder, and Wayne Hammerstadt. While in college he was active in performance from Jazz and Electro-Acoustic sounds to sound-tracking plays for performances such as Eurydice and Salome. He was apart of the UCCS jazz ensemble, electro-acoustic ensemble, the Peak Frequency Arts Festival. These included guest artists such as Miya Masaoka and Pamela Z. He was a part of the performance of the 7 Veils Peak Frequency Ensemble, which was a collaborative performance by UCCS Faculty and select undergraduate students.

He has worked on programs such as Logic, ProTools, Ableton, and Reaper for audio recording, sound engineering, and sound design. He has been fortunate enough to play alongside the likes of bands such as Atlas Genius, Civil Twilight, Switchfoot, and Highly Suspect.
